This church was originally a very humble building up to the XVII c., when it underwent thorough remodelling work that resulted in a much bigger temple. The convent was clossed down in the 1800's and most of its goods were transferred to other religious buildings. As a consequence of the closure, the building's state of conservation deteriorated gradually and nowadays it is in ruins with just some walls left standing. However, we can still appreciate the Latin-Cross plan; the two vestries; the main access doorframe, made in dark masonry and forming a Roman Arch; some vaulted niches and some pillars and collumns.
