This is a single plant church with a three-sided slooped roof, whose presbitery is separated from the nave and has a four-sided slooped roof with tiles on the outside and wood on the ceiling. The towerbell, attached to the temple's right side, has a square plant and a vaulted roof. Built in the XVI c. originally as a hermitage, it underwent extension works over the years until the late 1800's. The following items are part of the Church: -Wooden choir resting on two volcanic rock columns, each of them having two Holy Water Fonts carved into them. -Wooden pulpit, attached to one of the walls crowned with a Cross. -A wooden confesional booth. -A polychromed wood retable of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. This has a vaulted niche, closed with a crystal door, and housing a sculpture of Nuestra Señora del Carmen made in 1904. - A retable of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, made in polychromed plaster. It has three sections each of them having a vaulted niche with the images of San José, San Juan Bautista and another with Nuestra Señora de la Antigua. On top of the retable there is a sculpture of Jesus on the Cross. -Retable of the Sacred Heart made in polychromed wood divided in three sections each of them having a vaulted niche with the images of the Sacred Heart, - Statue of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores made in polychromed wood (late 1800's). Located in the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Retable. -A statue of Jesus on the Cross made in polychromed wood (XVIIIc). Located in the left vaulted niche of the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores retable. -A statue of Jesus on the Cross made in polychromed wood. Located in the right had side vaulted niche in the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores retable. -A statue of Nuestra Señora de La Antigua made in polychromed wood and natural hair. Located in the right hand side vaulted niche in the NSDolores retable. -A statue made in polychromed wood of Saint Joseph and located inside a vaulted niche in the Main Retable. (XVII c.) -A statue made in polychromed wood of Saint John the Baptist, located inside a vaulted niche in the Main Retable.
